pet-peeve

I don't know if it just because I struggled with IF & ML so you mommaS that had no problems with conceiving will have to clue me in on this; BUT..

does it ERK anyone when people say, "just wait until there two you will be asking people to take her" or "you will be giving her away here soon" or "just wait until they start crawling, you won't want them all the time then"

I understand mommas need breaks & there is nothing wrong with that; but why is it such a crime in todays world to WANT to spend time with your child?

& I TRY to do things as natural as possible & im also not allowing her to watch TV till she is 2 because of some studies I have seen, I will allow her the occasional disney movie though, & the typical "well I did it & I turned out ok." when it comes to doing things naturally or my ways of parenting!

ok, rant over.

I mean who wouldn't want to be around this 24/7!?! :)

Also, Kennedy has a ingrown toenail that litterly happened overnight; how is this possible? I trim them ever week if not more.

  2. I was never bothered by the "just wait til she's doing this or that" scenario but it did drive me crazy when people would say "well I did that and my child turned out just fine" Yes good for you that you did something a certain way and your child turned out fine. Heaven forbid that I choose to do something differently while raising MY child. I think some people forget that they had their chance to parent and it's not their decision how you raise your child. I annoy a lot of people because of how I choose to do things with Malina. From the very beginning I just tell people that she is mine and I will parent however I see fit. and recommendations change all the time, and the way I see it is they must change for a reason so if it will benefit in any way why not follow it. grrrr. obviously this is a pet peeve of mine as well. ha!

  3. No matter what u decide to do you will always be judged because every parent is different. I don't know u very well but I can tell u are a wonderful momma :)
I get judged all the time for teaching my girls Spanish! Really?! Their daddy is Mexican for 1 and 2... studies show that it is one of the best things for ur children! So I have had to learn to just listen to what they say but I am going to continue teaching them spanish! My daughter is not even 3 yrs old and she can count to 10 and say her abc's in spanish. I think its pretty awesome.
Another thing I have learned is that we tend to get judged by those older than us.. especially since we are young mothers.. funny thing is... why would they expect us to do the same things that they did 20 or more yrs ago? Especially with all these new studies! Plus the ones who complain about us being young mothers and uneducated... had their kids at a young age too lol
I love myself some mommy time.. but not if it means throwing away my kids time... especially since I have 3 girls... I spend my whole day makin sure all 3 get the time n love they deserve!
Word of advice... never let it get to u... bc even if u did it their way... there would be someone else who thinks you should do it their way instead. Its an on going battle.

  7. My 19 month old daughter is my third child -- my sons are 16 and 14 -- so yeah, major age gap! This age gap allows me to know how limited our time with our babies really is -- I say spend every free second with that beautiful girl that you can and make NO apologies for it! Before you know it she will be 16...
